“I’m going to Vegas in August!” I excitedly told my best friend Cat. “You should come! Book your airfare now, and start playing the Facebook game MyVegas. Within a couple months you should have enough points to get your hotel room for free. We’d have such a fun time!” “Wait…I can get free Vegas hotel rooms from playing a FACEBOOK game?!” Cat asked in disbelief. “Yup! Not only that, but you can get free buffets, tickets to Vegas shows, the whole nine yards. It’s amazing!” I replied. “Ok…but what’s the catch?” she inquired skeptically. “Is MyVegas Legit?!”

Whether you’re a seasoned MyVegas veteran explaining the ins and outs to friends and family members, or a new player researching and testing the waters of the glittery game, the one question you will run into constantly is “What is the catch to MyVegas?”. It seems too good to be true: A fun, borderline-addictive Facebook slot game that supposedly gives you incredible Vegas comps for free. And as the old saying goes “If it’s too good to be true, it probably is”. Does this apply to MyVegas?

The answer is no. MyVegas is 100% legitimate, and 100% free. Granted, like most games and apps, you have the option to buy “coins” and add-ons to extend the game and playing time, but this is COMPLETELY unnecessary. By following a few simple strategies (which I will be outlining in an upcoming MyVegas blog post), you can play without paying a dime, so all your perks and points are essentially free. All you are paying with is your time playing the game.

“But why would a company just give away Vegas hotel rooms, show tickets, buffets, food, and other entertainment? They would be losing so much money!” is the follow up question I’m often asked after stressing that MyVegas is in fact, free. The simple answer is because it’s to their benefit. Let me explain.

Behind MyVegas is MGM Resorts International, the mega company that owns 80% of hotels on the strip. While the MGM Grand is obviously their namesake, they also own other hotels including The Bellagio, Aria, New York New York, The Luxor, Circus Circus, Excalibur, The Mirage, Mandalay Bay and Monte Carlo. While the MyVegas game is revolutionary, as it’s one of the first games and apps that actually give away high-dollar value “prizes” for free, this is nothing new in the world of Vegas. Las Vegas hotels are constantly giving away complementary services (known as “comps”) from free drinks and meals for low-level players to multi-level suites, concierge service and even private jet trips to high rollers. Why do they do this? Because it encourages and prolongs gambling. And gambling is where the resorts make their money. Statistically, the more comps a player is given, the more time they spend on the slots or at the tables, dropping dollars into the casino’s pockets.

MyVegas is genius because it expands, exposes, and gets “Vegas” on the minds of millions who might not have given it a second thought as a vacation destination prior to playing. I’m a perfect example of this. I’ve been to Vegas quite a few times (usually for work), but had no plans to visit anytime recently….until I started playing MyVegas. As the rewards started to roll in, it suddenly seemed like an ideal getaway. I would have enough points to stay at a hotel for free, have several meals and entertainment options comped, so all I would be paying for upfront was airfare….not a bad deal! Hundreds of thousands of fellow MyVegas players share the same mindset.

Giving away Vegas hotel rooms and food costs the MGM company very little. They KNOW the vast majority of MyVegas players will be gambling. MyVegas game has been around for several years now. They are easily able to track MyVegas players (by use of their MLife playing card) from their arrival to departure. They can see what they are spending, and calculate the average profit made. If MyVegas guests were causing the company to lose profits (or even break even) the MyVegas game would be a thing of the past. MGM is obviously making quite a bit of money off this venture, and their players are spending money when they arrive in Vegas. Almost all of the MyVegas rewards are rooms, meals, and shows at MGM affiliated resorts. This keeps the MyVegas player IN the MGM hotels, and therefore they are most likely to gamble at MGM casinos.

The entire process is extremely interesting, and I highly suggest doing further reading about how casino’s profit off comps. It’s fascinating, and meticulously executed.

I like to think with MyVegas, everyone wins- from the casinos generating revenue, and the players getting fun, free perks and a memorable Vegas vacation.

Myvegas Slots App Facebook

This myVEGAS Facebook guide is to help new users get started playing the myVEGAS game on Facebook. This guide stays away from the mobile app version of the game because there is enough of a difference between the two.

Worth noting, any gold loyalty points (LP) you earn on Facebook can be used and redeemed through the mobile app and vice versa as long as you sync your Facebook account into the mobile app. The myVEGAS rewards you can redeem are the same through Facebook and through the mobile app (for the most part other than some Konami only rewards).

Unlike the mobile app, the myVEGAS Facebook game offers regular chip rewards that get you up to 500,000,000 chips for free. We have all of the links to get free myVEGAS Facebook chips listed below in the guide!

MyVEGAS Facebook Introduction

Just like the mobile version, myVEGAS Facebook is a virtual slot machine game. You spend purple chips in order to spin for the chance to win more chips. As you spin, you’ll earn gold loyalty points which can be used to redeem real life rewards in Las Vegas.

You must be an MLife member in order to redeem any rewards, so click here to sign up now and save a step later (will open in a new tab).

Unlike the mobile version, it is easier for most people to leave the myVEGAS Facebook app open in the background or on a second monitor. For the most part, you can leave the app running in the background without much interferance.

How to start playing myVEGAS on Facebook

To get started, click here to access the myVEGAS Facebook page. You’ll see the following splash screen as the game is loading up.

After the game loads up, you’re chips, loyalty points, and level information are displayed at the top banner.

In the main area of the screen, you will see a list of slot machine games that you can launch and begin spinning on. Have a look through the games and launch one of the apps to start spinning.

MyVEGAS Facebook Changes February 2020

Myvegas Facebook App

An update to the myVEGAS Facebook game around February 19th, 2020 may have changed and limited the number of loyalty points you earn in the app.

If you follow our strategy guide below, check and see if you still get as many LP as advertised.

How to Get Free myVEGAS Chips on Facebook

Myvegas Facebook Slots

Unlike mobile, you can get free chips on the myVEGAS Facebook app really easily. Below are a list of websites that offer free chip promotions.

You can go back up to 2 weeks on links and redeem each reward individually. Click on redeem and let your myVEGAS Facebook game load up and deposit your free chips.

If you simply keep track of these free chips each day, you shouldn’t need to purchase any more. You should also be able to earn gold loyalty coins indefinitely without ever running out of chips as long as you follow the guide below.

Once you are loaded up with a ton of free purple chips, you can start playing and earning gold loyalty points.

You can experiment with the different slot machine games in the app, but pick one that requires low/no interference or clicking. You want the app to work in the background and you don’t want to constantly be checking up on it.

Lotus Land is one slot machine game that doesn’t require a lot of interference.

Set your bet amount to the minimum and set the myVEGAS Facebook app on autospin. To start, count and make sure that you gain loyalty points every 10-12 spins. If it is taking you too many spins to get LP, then you’ll want to find a different slot game with a slightly higher minimum bet (eg. 5,000 per spin instead of 4,000).

Set your myVEGAS Facebook app to autospin and exit out of any windows that stop your autospin.

Can You Play myVEGAS Facebook Forever?

Thanks to k0unitX on Reddit for these stats.

My loss ratio on Electro-Link, betting 5k, was only around 50k chips/hr for example. I was getting around 800 LP/hr and there’s always at least 1 million of free chips to be had daily (using the links above). So you should be able to play literally 24/7, gaining LP somewhat efficiently, without spending any money.
